Kid Friendly Snacks

APPLE GRAPE CARS

1 medium apple cored and sliced. Take 2 toothpicks and stick them through the fleshy part of the apple. Slide a grape onto each end of the toothpick. (See image above)

GREEK YOGURT & BERRIES

1/2 cup PLAIN Greek yogurt and add fresh berries. Blueberries and strawberries are a big hit in our house.

APPLE PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES

1 apple slice width wise (think the equator) Spread Natural Peanut Butter (no sugar or additives, just peanuts) on slices and sprinkle with a couple dark chocolate chips

ANTS ON A LOG

Slice celery, fill with Natural Peanut butter (no sugar or additives, just peanuts) and stop with a couple of raisins

FRUIT KABOBS

On a kabob skewer add chunked pineapple, banana slices, strawberries and grapes

HARD BOILED EGGS

Submerge eggs in cold water and bring to a boil. Once your water is at a rolling boil remove the pot from the burner and place a lid on it. Let it sit for 12 minutes. Dump water and run eggs under cold water for 6 minutes. Immediately refrigerate when done.

HOMEMADE SNACKABLES

Crackers (use whole grain crackers. Mary's Gone Crackers brand is amazing) Cubed cheese, Apple Slices and Grapes. Put into a 4 compartment container and it's great to take on the go

BUTTERFLY SNACK BAGS

Fill a snack bag with grapes on one side and chese crackers on the other. (We use Annie's bunnies. No weird extra ingredients and they're organic) Seal and clip with a colorful clothespin in the middle for the body of the butterfly. Take a pipe cleaner, cut it in half and glue to the top of the clothespin for the antennas. Super cute and the "bodies" are reusable.

* BONUS have the kids make the butterfly bodies as a fun activity to do together. Use markers, paint, googly eyes. Whatever design works for them!

SEA TURTLE SNACKS

Cut a green apple in half and place skin side up on a plate. Use 5 toothpick and insert one on the bottom, 1 at the top (where the stem would be) and then two on each side of the apple. Slide 1 green grape on all of the toothpicks except the bottom one. Cut a grape in 1/2 and put the 1/2 grape for the tail. Sprinkle a few cheddar crackers (Annie's bunnies are the best. They come in cheddar, graham, chocolate and honey) around the plate and voile!
